About Us

DAL SEGNO store is the first virtual space where female musicians can shop for complete concert outfits. We gathered an exquisite team of people to create this unique company. Working closely with classical musicians from the most renowned European orchestras, we have been able to accomplish something that has not been done yet and is very much needed in the world of classical music – a female-oriented concert clothing line.

Playing with fashion between the lines and wishes, we also had to follow the strict rules of the established dress code. Adding our expertise in tailoring and love for fashion design, visual arts and brand building, we create an opportunity to make a difference.

Opening the dialogue about concert attire and stage presence but also about everyday life of professional musicians, has enabled us to become more responsive to the needs of our customers and makes our brand
evolve.

DAL SEGNO store was created by Natalia Jansen, a photographer and art historian specializing in textiles and costumology. Later, she was joined by her sister, Agata Michalec Stahl, a violinist based in Switzerland.

At the beginning of 2022, a group of musicians, visual artists and tailors joined the team and are now a part of Dal Segno circle of close collaborators. Collection 2022/23 reflects this process and has been developed by an exceptional designer Renata Taleb.

Starting in 2023 Atelier based in Rotterdam, Dal Segno became a place where you can purchase ready-to-wear clothes for female musicians and also create unique bespoke pieces.

When you look for a new dimension in your life as an accomplished classical musician, DAL SEGNO team are prepared to make it happen.

Creative Team

“The idea of Dal Segno store has emerged as a result of conversations over coffees, travelling, breaks during concerts, photo sessions with musicians. We wanted to create a place that is not only a shop with beautiful concert attire but also to continue the discussion on the place and situation of women in the world of classical music, the challenges but mostly- celebrating their achievements.”

— Natalia Jansen/ Founder

“On stage I feel empowered – strong and confident. I want to feel comfortable and look chic. It’s pure joy for me to be in the limelight with my colleagues and do what we all love. I want to wear what suits me and what I enjoy wearing. Like business attire – yet more romantic – it‘s exactly the right place for it. It cannot outshine my work as a musician and yet it gives an elegant layer of confidence and professionalism.”

— Agata Michalec Stahl / Violinist and Co-founder
